Work Contribution within RESOLVE
The Research Group for Healthy Ageing at the Institute of Clinical Molecular Biology in Kiel performes genetic analysis by high-throughput genotyping and sequencing. The aim is to identify genetic variation that influences wound healing and repair mechanisms in aged humans. For this purpose, a candidate-driven exploration strategy is employed using extensive DNA collections of centenarians/non-agenarians and younger matched control subjects (1000 individuals in each group)that have already been established in the institute.
